Playroom Transformation

Play is learning.

Research tells us that children learn best when playing, so your play room is where they are developing:

What is playroom transformation?

I tailor your playroom design to the ages and stages of your children and create an inviting, comfortable, beautiful space for open-ended play to best support your child as they learn and grow.

  • I design play spaces for newborns through school-age kids!

  • A "playroom" is any space in your home dedicated to play. It can be part of living room, a child's bedroom, or a stand-alone playroom. I love transforming underused nooks or spaces to playrooms!

  • We’ll schedule a free 15-minute virtual meeting to get to know you and to get a virtual tour of your space.

The design phase requires only a $75 non-refundable deposit. I will visit to see your playroom space in person and take all furniture and room measurements to create a design plan. Based on your space, I will email you a design plan and an estimate of necessary expenses for materials.. Necessary expenses usually include storage containers like baskets and bins but I try to utilize as many of your existing materials as possible without purchasing additional items. I recommend planning for a minimum budget of $75 for necessary expenses but any material expenses are subject to your approval.

Then comes the fun part, playroom transformation: $325 for up to 3 hours, additional $100 for every extra hour and reimbursement for pre-approved items purchased by play consultant.

I will purchase and bring any items we discussed with me for the transformation. To prepare for the transformation, I ask you to remove any items that you definitely don't want/need anymore and I can also work with you on the day to make those decisions. We will be moving furniture and consolidating and organizing materials based on your child's developmental stage. This process takes an average of 3 hours but could be longer depending on the amount of materials.

Add-on: For an additional $100, I will send you a list of recommended play materials, furniture and toys that would compliment your new space and fill in gaps in your current materials.. You can use this list for future holiday or birthday gifts!
