Hi, I’m Becca.
I believe that birth is not just a medical event, but a deeply personal journey. As your doula, I'm here to hold space, offer guidance, and remind you of your strength every step of the way.
Becca’s Story
My passion for birth began long before I became a doula. I grew up with a “crunchy” mom who had home births in the 1990s, so I always imagined welcoming my own babies at home one day.
When I became pregnant with my first child, we received a minor diagnosis that meant an out-of-hospital birth was no longer an option. As someone with a profound fear of needles and a strong desire for a low-intervention birth, I felt disappointed and uncertain. Thankfully, my midwife offered to support me as a doula during my hospital birth, and her presence made all the difference.
After 32 hours of labor and 4 hours of pushing, I welcomed my healthy baby boy into the world. It was one of the most challenging and empowering experiences of my life. Having experienced firsthand the impact of continuous support during labor, I couldn't stop sharing my birth story with those around me.
A childhood friend who was preparing to give birth as a single mother asked if I would support her during labor. I was honored to walk alongside her. Having given birth just nine months earlier, I understood many of the emotions and challenges she was facing. I encouraged her through each stage of labor and witnessed her achieve her goal of a beautiful, unmedicated birth. That experience confirmed what I already felt in my heart—I loved supporting women through birth.
Soon after, I completed BEST Doula Training in 2017 and spent nearly a year serving as a midwife's assistant. Later, I stepped back from birth work for a season to focus on raising my young children, but I never lost my passion for serving families. I was always thrilled when past clients reached out to ask if I was still attending births, and my answer was always , "If it's for you, then YES!"
Over the years, I have witnessed many different birth experiences, each one beautiful in its own way. I've supported mothers as they discovered strength they didn't know they possessed, adjusted their plans when circumstances changed, advocated for their needs, and navigated unexpected outcomes with grace and courage. Every birth story is unique, and every family deserves compassionate, individualized support.
My favorite moment at every birth is seeing a mother's face when her baby is placed on her chest for the very first time. That first meeting never loses its magic.
Whether you are welcoming your first baby or adding another child to your family, it is a true honor to be invited into your birth space and to walk alongside you as you begin a new chapter.
