Our Doulas

Rebecca Balaban

Birth Doula

Hi, I’m Rebecca!

My passion for birth work began in 2014 with the birth of my first child. I was fortunate to be surrounded by supportive, compassionate providers throughout my pregnancy and an incredibly long labor — an experience that left a deep impression on me. Not long after, a dear friend who was pregnant and navigating it alone asked for support, and I was honored to walk alongside her. Being there for her throughout pregnancy and birth opened my eyes to how deeply I loved supporting women during such a vulnerable, powerful time.

In 2017, I became certified through BEST Doula Training and have been privileged to attend many births since. I also spent several years as a birth assistant to a local midwife, where I gained hands-on experience at dozens of home births — offering emotional and physical support, assisting with charting, and helping with postpartum care and clean-up.

Over the years, I’ve supported families in a wide range of birth settings, including unmedicated home births, home-to-hospital transfers, hospital births with and without interventions, and Cesarean births. While I have a special passion for walking with clients through unmedicated labors, my ultimate goal is to help families feel empowered, informed, and supported — no matter what path their birth takes.

I believe that birth is not just a medical event, but a deeply personal journey. As your doula, I'm here to hold space, offer guidance, and remind you of your strength every step of the way.

Mallory Williams

Full Spectrum Doula

Hello! I am Mallory Williams.

I am a trained birth and postpartum doula and childcare specialist. I have been a full spectrum birth worker since 2018. I am a mother to an amazing daughter and her birth helped to shape the experience and care that I give to my clients. I love helping families navigate this intimate time. I believe that birth is a normal process, not a pathological ‘problem’ to be solved. You have the right to be an active participant in your own birth experience. I believe that partners are as emotionally invested in their children’s births as laboring women are; they too need support in order to minimize anxiety and feel involved/engaged with the birth process to the extent that they and their partner wish. I believe (and statistics show) that having a doula is the best way to ensure a satisfying birth experience, that is, one in which the woman feels respected, in control and supported. I can and will help you to self-advocate before and during your labor and birth and teach you how to use your voice. I believe in evidence-based practice. My #1 goal is your satisfaction, confidence and comfort . I recognize that your birth is not my birth and that your choices may be different from my own. My pledge to each of my clients is that I will always respect your choices and support you 100% in making them. I will never judge you or make you doubt your instincts. I know that you are strong, and we can do this.
