About our family:
We are an active, fun-loving, hard-working family with 3 kids and a big friendly dog living in Joshua, TX. We own a busy truck liquidation and property rental business. Our home and business are on the same property, and both parents will usually be around.

We’re looking for a nanny with a strong work ethic who can provide care for our 21-month-old son and occasional help with keeping our older kids on track with schoolwork. We would love some light household support to keep our home running smoothly during the week.

Work details:

  • Part-time live-out nanny / household assistant

  • Start date: May 25 

  • Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 2:00pm

    • Additional hours may occasionally be available on weekends or some evenings

  • Guaranteed weekly pay at 28 hours per week

  • $23/hour

  • Paid by W2 with taxes withheld

  • One week paid time off + paid major holidays

Experience & requirements:

  • Toddler experience required

  • Must be comfortable balancing childcare with light household tasks

  • Must be patient, dependable, and proactive

  • Strong communication skills required

  • Comfortable assisting elementary-aged children with homework and school organization

  • CPR / First Aid certification required, agency can pay for certification or recertification

  • Prefer a strong swimmer

  • Must be a non-smoker

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

  • Prefer someone who is open to traveling with the family internationally on occasion

Responsibilities:

  • Providing attentive, hands-on care for a 21-month-old boy

  • Planning and leading age-appropriate daily activities, including:

    • Reading books and supporting language development

    • Sensory play and creative play such as blocks, puzzles, and music

    • Outdoor play, weather permitting

    • Structured learning through play, including colors, shapes, and motor skills

    • Encouraging independence through hands-on activities and safe opportunities to explore

    • Maintaining a consistent routine for meals, naps, and playtime

    • Outings to zoo, museums, parks, libraries, etc.

  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment

  • Preparing simple, healthy breakfast and lunch for the children

  • Cleaning up the kitchen and dishes after meal prep

  • Occasionally helping with light snack prep for the older children

  • Supporting light household tasks, including:

    • Tidying common areas used during the day, such as play areas, kitchen, and living spaces

    • Washing and putting away children’s dishes

    • Handling light laundry related to the children, as needed

    • Helping maintain an orderly home during working hours

  • Providing occasional support for older children in 4th and 5th grade, including:

    • Helping with homework

    • Keeping them on task and organized with schoolwork

    • Offering basic academic support as needed, though formal tutoring is not required

About you:
You are nurturing, organized, and genuinely enjoy engaging with young children. You are comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple responsibilities, and creating a calm, structured environment where children can thrive. You are dependable, communicative, and able to balance attentive toddler care with the light household support that helps a busy family function well. You are also comfortable stepping in occasionally to help older children stay on track with homework and school responsibilities.
