About our family
We are a busy, joyful family of 7- Mom, Dad, and five wonderful children. Our home is lively, active, and centered around family, faith, and creating a warm environment where our children can thrive.
With five kids and a full schedule of school, sports, activities, and family life, we are looking for a highly organized, attentive, and proactive household manager who can help keep our home running smoothly, can anticipate upcoming needs and free up Mom's mental space. The goal of this role is to allow Mom to be more present with the children and prioritize her relationship with her husband while knowing the home is cared for with excellence.
Faith is an important part of our family culture, and we would love to find someone who shares Christian values and is comfortable in a faith-centered home.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, type-A organized, hard-working, and servant-hearted, and who genuinely enjoys supporting a busy household and bringing order and calm to a full home.
The role will be 75% household/family assistant, 25% childcare
Work Details
Start Date: ASAP
$35/hr with guaranteed weekly pay at 21 hours
Schedule:
Tuesday: 7:30–10:00am & 2:00–8:00pm (8.5 hours)
Thursday: 7:30–10:00am & 2:00–8:00pm (8.5 hours)
Saturday: 4 hours, variable schedule shared in in advance
Opportunity for additional hours if a candidate is available throughout the week for date nights, household projects, etc.

The family is currently building a home in Aledo, and the candidate will need to travel there once they move.
This role includes a mix of household management, organization, meal prep, light cleaning, and family support.Occasional driving, errands, and preparation for family activities will also be part of the role.
Experience & Requirements
Fluent in English
Licensed and insured driver
Reliable transportation
Experience managing a household, working as a household manager, nanny, family assistant, or similar role preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working in a busy family environment with children
Able to take initiative and manage tasks independently
Strong work ethic and pride in maintaining an orderly home
Christian faith strongly preferred
Responsibilities
Morning Support (Tuesday & Thursday)
Prepare breakfast for the kids
Help with school drop-off logistics (either assist with driving or stay home with the baby)
Guide children in unloading the dishwasher
Ensure kids have made their beds and are ready for the day
Start a load of laundry and put away folded laundry
General morning reset of the house
Take inventory of what needs to be done the remainder of the day, and run errands as needed between hours of 10 and 2 (not every week, but as needed)
Afternoon & Evening Support (Tuesday & Thursday)
Be present at the house while Mom does school pickup or assist with picking up children
Work on ongoing organization projects while babies nap (decluttering, organizing spaces, maintaining order)
Meal prep or cook dinner for the family, or assist Mom with dinner preparation
Clean the kitchen after dinner:
Sweep/mop floors
Wipe counters, table, stovetop
Wipe exterior of appliances
Pick up toys inside and outside
Tidy shared spaces and put away items left on stairs or around the house
Prepare lunches for the kids for the following school day
Saturday Support
Help clean up after breakfast
Help kids get dressed and ready for sports or morning activities
Stay home with the baby during morning nap so Mom can participate in family activities; the shift hours may change after baby’s nap schedule changes
Fold laundry
Organize and reset key areas of the house
Potentially grocery shop for the upcoming week
Ongoing Household Management
Assist with running errands
Assist with meal planning and meal prep
Help keep Mom’s car clean and organized
Help pack and prepare for family trips, unpack after trip
Prepare supplies for outings (snacks, water bottles, activity items, etc.)
Keep the home decluttered and orderly (very important to Mom)
Monitor household inventory and restock items such as:
Groceries
Toiletries
Cleaning supplies
Children’s items that need replacing
Keep children’s gear clean (high chairs, car seats, strollers, etc.)
Assist with holiday preparation (especially Christmas)
Long-Term Role Growth
Over time, we would love this role to expand to include light management of other household support staff, including:
Helping guide our housekeeper on areas needing attention
Helping coordinate household needs with our nanny
