Warm, flexible full-time nanny needed for an infant in a screen-free, Montessori-minded home

Warm, flexible full-time nanny needed for an infant in a screen-free, Montessori-minded home

About our family:
We are first-time parents excited to welcome a nanny into our home as we prepare to return to work. Our daughter was born on March 31, and we are looking for a loving, dependable caregiver who can become a trusted, long-term part of our family. Dad works in finance and Mom is an ER physician, so while we are laid back and flexible, we also value clear communication, reliability, and strong attention to safety.

We are drawn to a Montessori-style approach that encourages independence and self-reliance, and we plan to keep her environment screen-free. We also have involved grandparents/in-laws who may occasionally pop in.

Dad works from home 3 days a week. Mom has a varied healthcare schedule and is typically home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though her schedule can change. She receives her work schedule two months in advance and can sometimes request certain days off with enough notice. We are looking for a nanny who is comfortable with a flexible schedule and willing to coordinate accordingly.

Work details:

  • Start date: Flexible, ideally June 15, 2026

  • Full-time live-out nanny

  • Typical schedule falls within 7:00am - 5:00pm, with a maximum of 40 hours per week

  • Tuesday will generally be off, as parents are typically home that day

  • $26/hour, with guaranteed weekly pay at 40 hours per week

  • Paid holidays

  • Paid time off, including vacation and sick days

  • Occasional evening, weekend or travel support if nanny is open to it

Experience & requirements:

  • Infant experience required

  • Spanish bilingual strongly preferred

  • Sleep training experience is a bonus

  • Flexible and comfortable coordinating around changing schedules

  • Up to date on recommended vaccinations, including TDAP and annual flu

  • Comfortable with dogs

Responsibilities:

  • Providing attentive, hands-on care for Sophia as she transitions from the newborn stage into infancy

  • Supporting a consistent, developmentally appropriate, screen-free routine

  • Engaging our daughter in activities such as tummy time, reading, and age-appropriate interaction and play

  • Helping foster independence and self-reliance in a Montessori-inspired way as she grows

  • Supporting bottle feeding once Mom returns to work, including proper handling, storage, and feeding of breast milk

  • Helping introduce baby-led weaning when developmentally appropriate

  • Supporting child-related laundry, tidying, and simple meal prep

  • Maintaining a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for daily care

About you:
You are warm, dependable, flexible, and genuinely love working with infants. You are highly communicative, direct in a kind and respectful way, and comfortable sharing your professional opinion clearly and lovingly. You are not easily rattled by the small things, but you understand that safety and communication truly matter.

You are someone who can bring both heart and structure to the role: loving and friendly, yet organized and operationally strong. You are comfortable working with first-time parents who are still learning, and you can help guide daily routines with confidence and care. You value evidence-based childcare, understand infant feeding and development, and are excited to actively engage a baby in meaningful, age-appropriate ways.

We are hoping to find someone who will not only provide loving care, but also build a meaningful bond with our daughter and grow with our family over time.

We can’t wait to meet you!
