About our family
We are a warm, active family with two young children: our newborn son and our 2.5-year-old toddler, who attends daycare during the day. Mom works from a separate home office and is usually only around at lunchtime, while Dad works outside of the home. We also have two friendly Australian Shepherds who are mostly outdoors, plus one cat.
As a family, we value structure and have found a routine--based approach to work well for us, while still keeping a relaxed and flexible attitude day to day. We’re looking for a caregiver who is collaborative and able to keep up with an active household. We care more about maturity, experience, and fit than age or stage of life.
This role will focus mainly on infant care, with occasional support related to our toddler’s schedule and activities.
We are looking for someone who brings a mature communication style, enjoys working as part of a team with parents, and feels comfortable sharing ideas as our family’s needs evolve. We value someone who is proactive, creative, and able to thoughtfully “figure it out” when routines or challenges change.
Work Details
Start Date: early May
Full-time, live-out
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4pm
Friday: 7am - 1pm
$25/hr with guaranteed weekly pay at 40 hours per week
7 flex days
Paid major holidays
Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld (W2)
Experience & Education Requirements:
Infant experience
First Aid / CPR certification
4+ years relevant experience, either as a parent, nanny, or in a childcare facility
Prefer some college
Licensed and insured driver with a safe, reliable vehicle
Conversational English (can be first or second language)
Responsibilities
Loving, attentive care for our infant
Following and supporting a structured infant routine
Age-appropriate developmental play and engagement
Baby-related feeding, diapering, naps, and general care
Taking walks and getting outside during the day
Eventually supporting outings when the baby is a little older
Occasional support related to our toddler’s schedule/activities as needed
Additional household support appreciated:
Baby and family laundry
Tidying common areas before leaving each day
Resetting the home at the end of the day
Loading and unloading dishes
General light housekeeping related to the children and daily household flow
Ideal Candidate
We’d love to find someone who has experience with infants and feels confident supporting a young baby’s routine. Our ideal nanny is collaborative and communicative, someone who enjoys partnering with parents and is comfortable sharing ideas as needs change. We value a person who is proactive, solutions-oriented, and resourceful—someone who can stay calm, dependable, and easy to communicate with in the flow of everyday family life.
