Short-term: Nurturing, experienced and patient part-time nanny / mom’s helper needed for a sweet family in Fort Worth (76104)
About our family:
We are a family of 4 (mom, dad and 2 year old boy and newborn girl) living in the Fairmount Historic Neighborhood, near the hospitals / Medical District. Dad works from home (separate space) and mom stays at home with the kids. We have a playful, gentle approach to raising our children.
We spend a lot of time together as a family and with our extended and church family. We hope to find someone who wants to be lovingly welcomed into our space and is comfortable being an extra set of hands for wherever there is a need.
About our son:
He loves anything with wheels! He is a little slow to open up but you’ll have his heart when you get down on his level and play with his favorite things. He loves being outside and he loves being chased!
About our daughter:
She is only 8 weeks old and we are still learning her personality. She loves contact naps, is gassy and fussy after feeding, and we are working on establishing consistent sleep habits. She will benefit from someone with a lot of patience for newborn challenges.
Work details:
Start date: ASAP
End date: 2 months, with potential to extend
Part-time, live-out nanny (24 hours per week)
M-W-F: 8am - 5pm
$28/hr, with 24 hours guaranteed weekly hours
Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld
Experience & Education Requirements:
First Aid / CPR certification
5+ years relevant experience, preferably as a newborn nanny or private nanny
Sleep conditioning experience preferred
Newborn experience a must
Must be up to date on vaccinations (flu, TDAP)
Licensed and insured driver
Conversational English (can be first or second language)
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day basic care of our son and daughter (diapering, feeding, etc.) They do not have any special needs, allergies, or major medical conditions, but our daughter is still fussy and gassy and lets you know it!
General activity-planning to guide age-appropriate learning
Lots of reading, play and outdoor time
Outings with our toddler as approved in advance
Help with toddler when mom is feeding baby; help with baby when mom is spending time with toddler.
Help with picking up around the house (not heavy housekeeping, just resetting living spaces, light help with dishes)
About you:
You have experience with infants and toddlers and have worked with families with multiple children before. You’re comfortable working alongside mom. You see a need and are able to jump in and recognize that your day-to-day is fairly fluid depending on how the kids are feeling and who needs the most attention from mom.
You know and can lovingly handle the challenges of little developing brains and emotions and are open to partnering with us as we navigate this challenging newborn phase.
