Loving, gentle and experienced nanny with flexible schedule needed for infant in Ridglea Hills (76116)

About our family:

We are first time parents to a sweet and cuddly 12 week old girl. Mom works in healthcare and dad is a pilot, and we both have variable work schedules.  We enjoy being active, being outdoors and spending time together as a family. 

Work details:

  • Full-time, live-out nanny (30 hours per week)

  • Start date: Sept 30 / ASAP

  • Schedule will typically remain within these time frames: Mon-Fri 6:00am - 7:30pm, with a very occasional weekend day.. There may be weeks when you work 30 hours and other weeks when you work 10. 

  • $23/hour with guaranteed pay for 60 hours per 2-week period, with overtime  paid if working over 40 hours within a one week period

  • 4 weeks PTO annually

  • 2  sick days

  • Bi-annual $1000 performance bonus

  • Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld

Work Requirements:

  • First Aid / CPR certification, agency can provide if required

  • 3+ years relevant experience as a nanny

  • Experience with infants, maintaining sleep/eat/play routines, starting solids

  • Licensed and insured driver 

  • Conversational English (can be first or second language)

  • Must be ok with dogs (one medium-sized dog)

  • At this time, we cannot accommodate our nanny bringing her own child

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day basic care of our daughter (diapering, feeding, etc.) She does not have any special needs, allergies, or major medical conditions

  • Establishing good sleep/eat/play routines

  • General activity-planning to guide age-appropriate learning

  • Lots of reading, play and outdoor time

  • Outings as baby gets older

  • Child’s laundry, once a week, including putting away

  • Child’s bottle and meal prep

  • Light household tasks such as baby laundry, washing bottles/dishes, loading/unloading dishwasher, and occasional light tidying (sweeping/vacuuming, wiping counters)

About you: 

You’re loving, gentle, and nurturing. You’re comfortable with the ever-changing needs of infants and can adapt to and support those changes with love. You have a few years of experience with infants and toddlers.  You’re a good communicator and are open to partnering with us to raise our daughter.  You take direction well but aren’t afraid to share suggestions lovingly.

Due to the nature of our roles at work, we rely on our caregivers to be on time, reliable and responsible.
