Patient, caring and energetic short-term nanny (with option for long-term) needed for two young children in Fort Worth (76116)
About our family:
We are a family of 4 (mom, dad, 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy) living in the Ridglea neighborhood. Dad works from home and has regular work hours. We have a playful, gentle approach to raising our children. We enjoy spending time outside, and we focus on learning through play and reading. Our children love to play and explore.
Work details:
Short-term, part-time: May 27-July 3
Monday - Friday, 2:15pm - 6pm
Short-term, full-time: July 7 - early September
Monday - Friday: 9am - 5:30pm
Long-term, part-time starting in September
Monday - Friday, 2:15pm - 6pm
$22/hr
Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld
Experience & Education Requirements:
First Aid / CPR certification, our agency will pay for training if needed
1-2 years relevant experience, either as a parent, nanny, summer / short-term nanny, babysitter, or childcare facility
Prefer some college
Strong car seat safety experience required
Licensed and insured driver
Conversational English (can be first or second language)
Responsibilities:
Pick-up from summer camps through July 3rd, then transition to full days with both children until end of summer
Day-to-day basic care of our children (potty training, feeding, etc.) They do not have any special needs, allergies, or major medical conditions
General activity-planning to guide age-appropriate learning
Lots of reading, play and outdoor time
Outings, approved in advance, to the zoo, museum, library, etc.
Child’s meal prep (lunch, snack)
Tidying up of common and play areas, including living room, kitchen, nursery and play rooms
About you:
You are patient, loving, upbeat and enjoy engaging with young children. You like to stay active and plan activities for the children to enjoy. You understand the importance of car seat safety and are well versed in properly securing children in their seats. You understand the ups and downs of toddlerhood and are able to remain calm and patient under pressure.
